I absolutely love when I find a meal that I like that is both delicious and packed full of nutrients. I used to associate healthy eating with bland, boring foods. When I am drinking this green, super food smoothie I am both satisfied and I feel great after.
Optionally, I put chia seeds into this smoothie. I highly recommend adding them as they don’t impact the flavor and they are jam packed full of nutrients! I would absolutely label chia seeds as a super food. You can read more about the benefits of chia seeds here.
One of the tools that I absolutely cannot live without in my kitchen is my Nutribullet Pro. Honestly, I used to make smoothies with a regular blender and the texture is not even remotely the same. I can never go back now. It’s also great for making nut butters, among a host of other recipes. I use my Nutribullet almost every day. I can say that I did have the regular Nutribullet originally and while it does the job, the Nutribullet Pro has much more power and I believe, works better. For this smoothie, I recommend a frozen fruit blend that contains pineapple. I typically buy a mango, papaya, pineapple bag of frozen fruit. I don’t add anything to sweeten this smoothie, the pineapple does an excellent job of that on it’s own.

Notes
For a regular blender, you may want to increase blending time to get the desired consistency.
I would add 1/2 cup of plain greek yogurt and reduce the amount of water to 1/2 cup to give this smoothie a protein boost.
